Technical Units_

ECA-RCA is a technical, administrative and non-profit organization of the indigenous movement that exercises the function of co-management and joint administration with the Peruvian State of this reserved space that comprises 402,335.62 hectares.

The original initiative to establish the CAR was to achieve recognition of the peoples’ ancestral territory, as a way of claiming ownership of the traditional Harakbut/Amarakaeri ethnic territory, which is currently shared with the Matsiguenka and Yine peoples.

In September 2014 the native communities re-elected Fermín Chimatani Tayori as president of the ECA-RCA.
